Organised Fishing Holidays in Alaska
I can organise accompanied fishing trips to Alaska for parties of 6 or more, to fish the wild and varied waters of Alaska for the five species of Pacific Salmon, Rainbow Trout in their natural environment and Pike. In doing so there will be the opportunity to see the wild life and the fantastic and varied scenery of this huge and beautiful country. Your base in Alaska will be at Alaska Natural Wonders in Anchorage.
Option 1
Staying in a fishing lodge and fish the local water with the option of fly outs to reach remoter and exciting waters.
Cost will vary according to the lodge and time of year. A local guide is highly recommended for at least part of the trip.
Option 2
This holiday is designed for the more adventurous parties to get out and see the true Alaska in its wild and glorious state and to get to where the fish are. Parties of 6 plus people for as many days as is required sharing the driving of a hire van and staying in guesthouses and lodges.
The will be an option of fishing the Kenai River for King Salmon (40 lb. plus) then moving on to the Little Susitna and Talkanta to get as much variety of fishing and see different parts of the country. This will range from the coastal region through the flat plains and up into the mountains. A local guide may help to get the most out of the fishing on some waters.
A day or two salt-water fishing for the giant halibut (200 lb. plus) or for silver salmon (imagine the screaming reel as the fish takes the line out on the first run) can really add to the interest, excitement and enjoyment of the trip.
Option 3
Rafting Expeditions
What a way to see Alaska. Rafting down one of the well-known fishing rivers, in the care of an experienced and qualified rafting guide, from its source to mouth. You will able to fish as you go, setting up camp each evening, helping with the chores and having the time of your life. This is the way to see the best of the country and get a rich variety of fishing.
