I have been fly dressing almost as long as I have been fishing and have built
up a wealth of skills and experience. I have been tying flies commercially for
over twenty years. I now can not compete with the overseas tied flies,
predominantly from Kenya, on price. However I still dress small orders of
bespoke flies at competitive prices. If you have unusual or old favourite
patens send me a drawing or paten to copy and I will refill your fly box.

Some processes cannot be mechanised and
fly tying is one of them. Since its inception on 2002, Gone Fishing Ltd has focused
on quality and has employed professional fly tyers from abroad to participate
in our training programme which is on-going. We have become a leading
manufacturing company with a reputation for consistent high quality and
reliability of delivery.
We offer a simple
ordering service for both large (5000 or more dozens) and small orders
(5 dozen or less). Simply send us an order or select from our order sheet and
we will do the rest. It is not necessary to send us materials as we order these
in bulk and so save you time and money. We use the best quality hooks and tying
materials and pay our tyers a fair wage,
well above the local average, and our prices remain competitive.
Products
All our products are manufactured using
best quality hooks, capes and tying materials sourced from reputable companies.
For everyday flies I can, after visiting the
factory and helping to develop the high, consistent standard they maintain,
recommend flies from Gone Fishing Ltd. They tie over 2,000 patterns in all the
common sizes on quality hooks.
I keep a small stock of the common flies in
stock or can get larger orders shipped within 2 weeks at very competitive
prices - usually half current shop prices.
