The Freestone Rivers of Exmoor and North Devon offer superb fishing with pool after pool of challenging wild brown trout fishing and some salmon amidst beautiful country side. With many years of fishing these rivers I feel confident enough to offer my services to guide anglers on these waters to help them enjoy the fishing and make the most of the experience.
The trout are all wild, natural fish and a 10in. fish is a good one but there are fish to 2lb. We generally return all fish.
Exmoor is blessed with a number of rivers such as the Exe, Barle and Lyn. Each is different to the others, offers different challenges has its own charm and character.
Salmon and Sea Trout
Sea trout and especially salmon are very dependant on the amount of water in the rivers to enter then run up stream. The window when fish are staying in any one place can be very short and the pools they lay up in very selective. How ever when conditions are right mid and North Devon has some superb fishing on Taw, Exe and Lyn.
